Review on Peter Andre's new single Behind Closed Doors.

Peter Andre returns to the frosty and cynical bosom of the music world with his latest offering 'Behind Closed Doors', otherwise known as "That song he was singing when he fell off the stage at T4."

What baffles me is, how could Mr. Andre have been singing that song at the time he fell? Miming, yes, but singing live? It's doubtful. The high tones of past singles are all but gone and instead we have Pete growling in an attempt at raw emotion. I am sure at one point there was real feeling there but after too much polishing and tweaking the song has lost any impact it could have had and instead sounds like a bland Backstreet Boys record from the 90's or JLS in the Naughty Noughties.

He wrote the song himself, with such lyrics as;

You think you’ve got me figured out,
you think you know what i’m about.
Don’t believe what you read,
half of the things you see,
thought you’d figured this out by now.
And who would have known
that our life could be so exposed
where we will end up?
nobody knows.

The song is obviously about his unhappy relationship with Katie and with the angry guitar riff Pete is trying out seriously serious for the first time. Sadly with Pete being so open about his niceness and goofy yet charming humour on T.V it is difficult for us to take his seriousness, well, serious. It all still comes across rather cheesy instead of sexy.

What dissapoints me is that I wanted Pete to do well for his hard work, not out of sympathy, but with how well loved he is during this bitter battle with Jordan I am sure that 'Behind Closed Doors' will still get top five in the charts, if not number one.
